Women in Engineering (WIE) strives to provide Concordia University female engineering and computer science students with academic, social and professional support. WIE also encourages student members to participate in various competitions and activities hosted by ECA and other societies, as a means by which to have an active school life.

As a part of WIE’s Ambassador Program, we equally encourage our ambassadors to partake in competitions and activities, as well as to accumulate volunteer hours by assisting at WIE events. Altogether, we endeavor to furnish a nurturing atmosphere that will foster the growth of our members’ professional, academic, leadership and social skills.

Additionally, WIE has an active Outreach Program which encourages women and girls of all ages to explore engineering as a career path, through workshops and info sessions at elementary schools, high schools, and CEGEPs. The Outreach Program in collaboration with our Ambassador Program is also responsible for the WIE Mentorship Program, which aims to help female CEGEP students in their transition into university and on their journey to becoming leaders, by pairing them with Concordia Undergraduate students.

Lastly, we invite students and professionals of all ages to learn more about engineering and interesting projects in engineering, by consistently publishing new episodes of our podcast, The Iron Ring.
