Hello GCS students!
I am a fourth-year student in Building Engineering and I am so happy to be returning for a third mandate as the President of the ECA. I am looking forward to this academic year representing you and ensuring you have the best possible university experience.
Throughout my previous terms, I have been actively involved in academics and internal affairs. During my first mandate as Building, Civil, and Environmental Engineering representative, I represented BCEE students at department and faculty council meetings and I helped organize events such as the Iron Ring Cocktail, info sessions, workshops, and Frosh. As VP Internal last year, I served as the booking officer and acted as the primary liaison between the ECA and its Member Associations, aka Societies. I also oversaw the B-Annex, a building that houses our Societies’ offices and the student lounge. Come hang out with us at 2160 Bishop Street on weekdays from 10:30AM to 4:30PM.
Taking on this role is a big responsibility and I am committed to rise to the occasion. Joining the ECA and contributing to student life gave me the opportunity to meet incredible people, strengthen my skills beyond the classroom, and experience the rewarding feeling of being recognized as a student leader. Additionally, witnessing the hard work of our Societies as they undertake projects, host events and big competitions, and represent Concordia in various competitions and conferences is truly inspiring.
The ECA is here to support you throughout your academic journey. I hope I have managed to convince at least a few of you to get involved in our Societies, whether as a director, a Vice-President, or a member.
I am incredibly excited to see the accomplishments of our amazing team this year! You are in the hands of a dedicated team that will work tirelessly for the best interests of GCS students.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me via email or LinkedIn 🙂
